Romans 1:16-17 KJV
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
How can I become a Christian?

A Christian is someone who is made perfect by the blood of Christ, someone who fully forgiven not on the basis on his merit but on the merit and mercy of Christ. Jesus beckons all who labor and are burdened to come to him and he will give them rest. Jesus' yoke is easy and his burden is light because Jesus carries what we cannot. In the case of our sin, Jesus carries all of it, and our path is righteousness and perfection before God. When we try to carry any of our own sin, even the smallest portion of it, or take responsibility for our own perfection, our burden is great and our path is destruction.

As a Mormon, you are painfully aware of your inability to meet all the requirements of your religion. Do you hunger and thirst for righteousness? Are you weary and burdened by your sin, which is constantly before you? Do you long for God's amazing grace to wash you clean for all time? Then lay your burden at the cross. Place your faith in Christ, for "whoever believes in the Son has eternal life." He will take your sin and give you righteousness, holiness, the perfection you long for...and peace.

If this is what you long for, then confess your utter inability to obey God's laws, your own unrighteousness, and your need for His sacrifice. Ask Jesus to wash away your sins, to exchange your sinfulness for His righteousness, and tell Him you are placing your faith in His completed work on the cross. When you do, you will be born again as a new creation in Christ.

If you are now a new believer, let us know so that we may assist you as you walk in the light of His glory and grace and finally know what it means to be a child of God.
